Here's a glimpse of the many interesting things about iBook you'll discover in the FAQs listed below:

• iBook's so cool it doesn't need a fan.

• An open and shut case — iBook uses a new "latchless" design developed by Apple that stays in place open or closed.

• Don't throw away that paper clip; you'll still need it.

• You flip the keyboard panel up to get inside iBook's innards (to install RAM or the AirPort card).

• You can program the function keys (F1-F6 pre-programmed, F7-F12 keys user-programmable).

• Two iBooks need only an AirPort card each to go wirelessly one-on-one, and one can even take the place of the Airport base station by plugging in to the Internet via a modem connection. A special software that comes standard with iBook called AirPort Software Access Point allows direct wireless communications between them so both can share the same Internet connection.

• An iMac or Power Mac G3 can join the wireless network by using a crossover Ethernet cable with the AirPort base station.
